Current research in progress

We are currently out and about in Sydney, Canberra and the Illawarra studying wild cognition and social behaviour in cockatoos. In Austral Winter 2025, we are working at a network of sites including North Sydney & Central Sydney, Sutherland Shire, Royal National Park and some suburban sites nearby to the royal national park.

Research underway includes cognitive testing, social learning experiments, study of cultural traits and urban movements.
